Hi all,
The theme of this week’s newsletter is time, and appropriately enough, I’ve lost track of it through the course of writing it. So I’ll keep it short and sweet:
Then I’ve also uploaded two more pieces about Japan. In keeping with the theme of time, they are not new. These are two of the first pieces I wrote actually, and originally posted on gavisgone.com a couple of years ago now (I’m still debating how to keep juggling content between that site and this one, though I just find it easier to post here for now – if anyone has any suggestions, please leave a comment) (hence the time theme). I’ve had a look back at them as part of the answer to what I was doing in Japan, and thought they might be worth sharing.
The first is about the joys of snowboarding, the second on the joys of natural hot springs. The former was the passion that drove my decision to go for an extended trip to Japan a couple of years ago, the latter was one I picked up while I was there. Both of them go somewhat to answering that question of what I was doing in Japan on a practical and day to day level (and will hopefully some level relate to many of you who don’t know, just how wonderful these pastimes are).
Though the practical explanation only goes so far. Next week I’ll start to explore the more philosophical questions, which to me is always far more interesting.
Thanks for reading, and if you haven’t already, do sign up to stay in touch.
